So I'm sure you've all been wondering what are the latest things Keegan, Josh & Connolly are doing, saying or have been up to. Here's the update, with some pictures.
The boys have begun to tell us when they have a dirty diaper. This is definitely a great thing as we feel it's time to start preparing them to potty train. We will be buying a toddler toilet seat to help them with the big step of being bathroom independent.
As far as words go, they imitate a lot of what we say and pick up things very quickly. They have started to say 'Love you' (more like Wub Oooh) when we put them down for bedtime. They also have their please & thank-you's in check, and they can find any animal in their 'Little People A to Z Zoo' if you ask them. They really know their animals. The boys are even learning a little bit of Russian, courtesy of Anna, our nanny.
Keegan is getting quite used to 'time-out' time as he definitely is the feisty one of the bunch. Though Josh and Connolly get their fare share of time-outs. The supposed 'Terrible 2's' have arrived early for us, but honestly, if this is as 'terrible' as it gets, I'm impressed.
Connolly has suddenly developed a fear of baths, though he loves to talk about the bath, and stand next to the bath full of water. But when you go to put him in the water, he doesn't like it. This fear emerged right after we got back from Mexico, but they only had 2 baths there and there were no issues, so we are not sure why he is suddenly afraid.
He, along with Keegan & Josh, LOVES to swim however. We took the boys to Cardel Place a few weeks ago and they did very well, floating for a bit on their own and kicking their legs. Out of the 3, Keegan is the biggest 'water baby'.
Their other favourite past-time is colouring. I think we've gone through at least 2 blank-page colouring books in the last few weeks. Every day, they do at least 1 picture each. Of course, as kids their age do, they also like to colour the walls, windows and anything else they can put the crayon to before anyone catches them :o)
The boys are extremely inquisitive and want to know about everything. Josh loves to try and put things together, like the belt on his booster seat, or lego pieces. Connolly loves playing with the alphabet magnets and pulling out a good book to read. Keegan likes to bang on the drums and dance to any music that happens to be on.
Every day it is a joy to watch Keegan, Josh & Connolly growing and learning. It is still amazing to us that they will be 2 years old in just a few months.
