Ready, Set, Go

Keegan, Josh and Connolly are now officially decked out with all the safety gear to go tobogganing, skating, bike riding, or whatever else they might need a helmet, elbow pads and knee pads for. Mama Trish and Papa Se surprised the boys with the gear, plus a toboggan each today. The boys were so excited that once the gear was on, they didn't want to take it off. We'll hopefully get them out on the hills behind our house in the next little while, once it warms up again.

This Sunday will mark the first time Keegan, Josh and Connolly have attended an actual hockey game. We are taking them to see the Calgary Hitmen (Western Hockey League) play the Swift Current Broncos. I was told today by a friend that works for the Hitmen that there is going to be a surprise on the jumbotron for the boys during the 2nd intermission, so we will definitely be sticking to our seats to see what it is. I'll have my camera ready for some pictures.

We are hoping to have Harvey the Hound's attendance at the boys birthday party in May firmed up soon. Ever since meeting Harvey at the Calgary Flames Superskills event a few weeks ago, they talk about him often. They even refer to pictures of Buster as 'Hahvey', so we know that if Harvey can come to the party, it won't just be for the enjoyment of the parents who are Flames fans! :o) Did I mention this year's birthday party theme is 'Calgary Flames'!!

Lynn, our nanny, is a new mom, giving birth to her daughter Kaitlin, on February 1st. We haven't seen Lynn, Jemahl or Kaitlin yet, but we hope to drop in for a visit next week when mom and baby are home from the hospital. Keegan, Josh and Connolly miss Lynn, asking each day if she is coming over. But they are also very excited about meeting 'Yinn's baby'.

The boys are extremely active now, if it's even possible to imagine them being more active than before. They race around the house like nobody's business, they play hockey, cars, colour, play with play-doh, jump on beds...you name it. Their language is coming along amazingly. They are now saying things like 'Mum, what you doing?', 'Hey guys, over here' and 'He scores' (when watching hockey). They've been talking in fairly full sentences for a while, but some days it just hits us how much they have grown up in the last few months.
