Keegan, Josh & Connoly are 3 years old. Hard to believe that many years ago, on May 9th at 6:00pm I measured 4 feet around (remember, I'm only 4 ft 10 tall!) and was about to become the mum to three baby boys.
Well, what an amazing three years it has been since 7:07pm, 7:08pm and 7:09pm on May 9, 2005.
The boys actual birthday was a quiet one at home, opening presents from family, but Saturday was the big day around here. The boys had a Calgary Flames-themed party with 12 of their friends and the parents of those friends. But the big surprise of the party was the surprise guest...Harvey the Hound, the Calgary Flames mascot. Keegan, Josh & Connolly have met him a few times and absolutely adore him. And seeing their faces as they realized he was in their backyard will be a memory engrained in our minds forever.
Harvey played with the boys and their friends, took pictures with anyone who wanted one, autographed cards and even helped the boys blow out their birthday candles. It was an amazing hour, we think for everyone...even the non-Flames fans! LOL
It'll be hard to top Harvey's appearance for next year's birthday party. Maybe 'boring' is in the cards for the next year or two! :o)
Thank you to everyone who came to the party and gave the boys more amazing toys/books to play and learn with. A special thanks to Uncle Ronan, Auntie Suzanne, Isabelle, Catriona, Auntie Keltie, Uncle Michael, Laurel, Ashley and Heather who sent their love and 'wish we could be there' presents ('Huey, Dewie & Louie' cartoons and Wal-Mart gift cards/M&M's respectively).
