Lots of catching up to do - March 2011

WOW! It's been almost a month since I last blogged about anything Keegan, Josh & Connolly have been up to. Well, it's time to catch up I guess cause they've been busy.

Get ready for a fairly large picture post to get you up to speed on what the boys have been up to this last month or so. As I have done in previous posts, I will include a few photos from each 'event' and then a link to view all the photos taken.

Timbits Jamboree, March 20th, 2011 - Each year, Hockey Calgary puts on a tournament for all the Timbits teams in the city and has fun things like face-paiting, a petting zoo and a bouncy house for the players to enjoy after their game. It's a great way to wrap up a rookie or 2nd-year season for the kids.

The Penguins final practice of their Rookie Year, March 19th, 2011 - Keegan, Josh & Connolly and their Penguins team-mates last practice of the 2011 season was a fun one. It was a Parents vs. Players game. The parents consisted of mostly Dads since the Moms had played in their own game vs. the players earlier this year. The boys were very excited to see their kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Scott in the stands to watch them.

Temporary Insanity, March 12, 2011 - Last year when Steve & I were in Vancouver, we made a plan for Steve's cousin Jeramy and his wife Priscilla to come to Calgary so we could go to a Calgary Flames/Vancouver Canucks game. Uncle Hal & Aunt Louise came as well. Little did we know they would invade our house with Canucks jerseys. All in good fun, we all, well except Steve, donned the Canucks jerseys for a few photo opps.

Best. First. Game. Ever! March 4th, 2011 - Keegan, Joshua & Connolly went to their very first Calgary Flames game last night (not our first as we used to have season tix back in 2000-2003). Despite not feeling 100%, and after a rough start for Josh & Keegan, they had a fantastic time. Their buddy Harvey the Hound instantly cheered them up when he came to visit them (I may have sent him a little email in advance of the game ;) ). Jokinen, Bourque & Iggy scored which made K, C & J very happy and Kipper was amazing. And Keegan was even more happy when Jokinen was named 1st Star of the game. My mum & dad came to the game as well with tickets that Steve one at the boys last hockey tournament. Pretty sure it was their first Flames game too, and they had a blast.
