Canada D'Eh!

It's hard to believe we are half way through our camping season for 2010 already. With only our 2-week trip to BC (Christina Lake & Vancouver Island) our church family camp and the Labour Day long weekend, this year's camping season has flown by...as has 2010 to this point.

We are at the tail end of a wonderful Canada Day long weekend as I write this from our camping spot in Drumheller. We have enjoyed doing fun things like swimming, go-karting, hoodoos climbing and taking in the Canada Day parade. KJ&C even took in movie night on Friday where they say 'The Lion King' for the very first time, and they rode in the 'Christmas in July' bike parade Saturday evening.

We often think back on the first time we went camping as a family back in 2006 when the boys were merely 15 months old. What a weekend from h-e-double hockey sticks that was!! LOL In a 16ft trailer with 2 dogs, 3 babies screaming their heads of for at least half the night, it was an adventure to say the least. But we stuck with it and now we have a trailer twice the size, KJ&C have their own room and they sleep from 10pm to 8am most nights without a peep. What a difference 3-1/2 years makes in how much we enjoy camping.

We may travel to the same places each year but there's always a new adventure to take in and new people to meet. With our Holiday Trails membership, providing 'summer homes' in Drumheller, Lethbridge, Christina Lake and more, we really love our summer camping life and we are building amazing family memories for KJ&C as they grow up.

We are truly blessed with the life we have.
